Lynda Hemann, Ph.D., MPH, LISAC was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. She completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois Chicago, a master’s degree at the University of Illinois Medical Center, and a Ph.D. at Capella University. She has spent over forty years in the field of substance disorders and has worked at all levels of care for addictions. Her initial work was with returning Army veterans from Viet Nam.
She brings a unique approach to her work since she is a recovering person and also spent eight years walking through an experience with incarceration. Her treatment framework is person centered.
